Public blockchain rebrand empowers Web2 partners to enter creative world of Web3

The Web3 revolution is already in motion, requiring only the partners of Web2 to enter for themselves.

The advancement from Web2 to Web3 is believed to be a revolution already in motion. However, few understand just how powerful the implications can be. To illustrate, consider Web2, which marks the era following the dot-com crash. The internet users became accustomed to quicker internet speeds, the rise of streaming sites like YouTube, social media and the mobile internet.

Although unintentional, the change in the way the internet was consumed also shifted the foundation of the internet to be increasingly centralized by major tech firms like Facebook and Google. For the end-user, this meant personal data was being collected by these intermediaries in exchange for people using their “free services.”

Web3 aims to return ownership to its users by running decentralized applications (DApps) on the blockchain, a network of peer-to-peer nodes. The intention is to return the internet to its original form as Web1, where no permissions are required from a central party and data belongs to the user. Unfortunately, despite the potential held in Web3, developers still lack a clear path forward and much of the know-how to transition their efforts from a centralized foundation to a decentralized one.

ThunderCore, a public chain aimed at delivering a high-performance, EVM-compatible and cross-chain interoperable solution, is just one project that has recognized the implications of this revolution. To support an increasingly hyper-connected world, ThunderCore has shared news of a rebrand to bring the project up to par with the latest technology developments. In the words of their team, this rebrand will “empower Web2 partners to enter the boundless creative world of Web3.”

Achieving this becomes crucial, as the project team believes that Web3 elements will soon be integrated into the Web2 world that the population is familiar with today.

A rebrand amid a Web3 launch

ThunderCore was established back in 2017 after founder Chris Wang saw an opportunity in the market to solve inefficiency and high-cost problems apparent in blockchain technology. Given the recent shift in the market, the project team has once again identified a gap in bridging internet users to the world of Web3.

The platform recentered itself on mobile entertainment since, in comparison to PC, mobile is more readily used by the public. Furthermore, as far as entertainment goals, this sector is said to be the easiest way to connect to the Web3 world. ThunderCore’s focus then becomes centered on nonfungible tokens (NFTs), GameFi and SocialFi.

These efforts are seen in ThunderCore’s new logo and visual identity, represented by a deep blue color that is said to inspire inspiration and imagination for developers. The logo also appeals to users with a design representing open space and freedom, an analogy to the platform welcoming all users to the Web3 world.

In practice, new Web3 world users will come down to the ThunderGene API tool, which, when deployed, aims to support Web2  developers in delivering Web3 DApps in minutes. ThunderGene supports wallet creation, maintenance, issue tokens and NFTs, and transfers. Developers can also create DApps with the above functionality directly through ThunderCore’s API docs.

To further incentivize developers, ThunderCore has announced the launch of 10 million in funds as a reward program for developers to build on and support growth in the platform’s ecosystem. Projects developed are said to join the ranks of many existing DeFi and NFT projects and a plethora of other DApps in the GameFi and metaverse space.

Pursuing partnerships for a Web3 Future

The past 12 months have indicated significant growth for ThunderCore with over 400,000 monthly active users and recognition as one of the top 10 most user count public blockchains as indicated by DappRadar data. The network now extends across over 190 countries, hitting 326 million in total transactions and a block height of over 97 million.

Building off of these foundations, ThunderCore aims to pursue growth through strong partnerships with world-renowned GameFi, SocialFi, NFT marketplaces and other major entertainment projects.
